New dates for this year's Cleaning Show announced This year's Cleaning Show has been moved to 2nd, 3rd and 4th November following the Prime Minister recently setting out the 'road map' for the UK Coronavirus lockdown easing. The 2021 edition of the nation's premier cleaning & hygiene event will take place at London's Excel as previously planned. Display evidence of your company's standards The cleanliness, maintenance and management of washrooms has never been more important than now, during the Covid-19 epidemic.
When customers and staff need to satisfy a basic human need - using the loo - they need to know the washrooms they use meet their needs, and importantly they should not use washroom facilities in premises that do not. Is Purelight the future of infection control? Hospitals and other healthcare facilities are now looking to new technology to stop the spread of infection in the ongoing battle against Covid-19. Unlike conventional cleaning this method uses an entirely hands-free approach and is delivered through beams of UV light. ViroGuard: Cleantec Innovation's sanitiser and disinfectant range gets a new look for 2021 Now a permanent group of products in its portfolio, Cleantec Innovation's ViroGuard range was launched in April last year in direct response to market demands for high performing and trustworthy sanitising and disinfection products. ISS and Barclays extend successful global facilities partnership ISS has agreed with Barclays to extend their eight-year partnership whereby ISS delivers Integrated Facility and Workplace Services across the Barclays portfolio in more than 30 countries until 2025. ISS has worked with Barclays since 2012, providing an integrated Facility Services solution in UK & Ireland, Europe, the Americas, Middle East, India and Asia Pacific, and the next phase of the contract is designed to create tangible value for the Bank, its global workforce and for ISS. Performance Food Group and WestRock launch sustainability initiative Performance Food Group, (PFG), and pizza box manufacturer, WestRock, are working together to deliver Sustainable Choices - a pizza box recycling educational program - to pizza box customers, and pizza consumers across the US. The foundation of this project is a WestRock study, which was reviewed and endorsed by members of the American Forest & Paper Association. The study was designed to determine whether grease or cheese contamination levels typically associated with pizza boxes, impact the finished product quality of the corrugated cardboard. Apprenticeship schemes flourish at phs More than 150 people have signed up to boost their skills as part of the apprenticeship programmes offered by facilities services provider phs Group. The apprenticeship programmes are designed to nurture talent, upskill individuals within the company and boost career progression. Over 120 employees have enrolled in a phs apprenticeship over the last 12 months, with 30 more already scheduled to start in 2021. NSS reports continued growth and bolsters senior team Specialist services provider NSS, has reported a 20% increase in revenues following a series of significant contract wins across the facilities management, retail, industrial and ecommerce sectors. On the back of this growth, NSS has named Malcolm Fyall as group operations director - a newly created role - with immediate effect and Mark Seager will replace Malcolm as operations director of the cleaning division. Clenetix partners with Airthings for Business to improve indoor air quality Cleaning software specialist, Clenetix, has partnered with Airthings for Business, a global company that provides digital technology to improve indoor air quality. With this new integration, Clenetix users can access live air quality data about virus risk, CO2, temperature, humidity, airborne chemicals, radon, light, occupancy, mould risk and air pressure levels. Cromwell Polythene continues to invest in UK manufacturing and recycling operations Cromwell Polythene continues to strengthen its UK recycling and manufacturing operations, to help businesses protect themselves and the environment during the pandemic. The family-run company, which has been in operation for 38 years, has seen increased demand for its range of essential products to help prevent the spread of infection. New waste management system aids safety and recycling at international packaging company A new racksack system from Beaverswood is improving the collection and segregation of waste at the UK and Ireland's largest independent suppliers of industrial packaging and food service products. Zeus Packaging (UK), a specialist in distribution and manufacturing - supplying a diverse range of products to a wide range of markets both globally and in the UK, recently invested in 50 new hard-wearing racksacks at its 97,000sq.ft headquarters in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
