Latest testing success for Greyland against SARS-CoV-2
Leading independent cleaning chemical manufacturer Greyland has announced that Spray & Wipe Ultra, its multipurpose antiviral surface cleaner launched last year, has now been tested against the SARS-CoV-2 virus using the NEN 14675 Standard Method.
The testing has certified and proven that Spray & Wipe Ultra is effective against the Novel Coronavirus, the cause of Covid-19. It kills 99.9% of the virus in less than 30 seconds.
Spray & Wipe Ultra has been tested against 'surrogate viruses', which experts considered sufficiently similar to SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) to prove effectiveness against the virus itself. It met the requirements of the British and European standards BSEN14476 and BSEN16777, requiring a contact time of less than one minute.
Richard Dyson, Greyland's CEO, says: "It was well worth investing in this additional laboratory test to demonstrate conclusively to our customers that our product kills SARS-CoV-2, the pandemic strain of the Coronavirus, in less than 30 seconds."
Launched in April 2020, Spray & Wipe Ultra is an aldehyde-free, high-performance disinfectant with broad spectrum activity against bacteria, yeast and viruses. It's an essential product in the fight against cross-infection in locations such as hospitals, care homes, schools, leisure centres, sports facilities, hotels and workplaces.
Uniquely available in 40% UK recycled polymer containers in both 5-litre and 750ml trigger spray bottles, very quickly after launch it became Greyland's top seller. Over £1m worth of Spray & Wipe Ultra was sold by Christmas 2020 and continues to be a sales phenomenon for the company.
Spray & Wipe Ultra is bactericidal, yeasticidal, and virucidal having also been tested to EN 1276 (inc. MRSA), EN 13697 (inc. E. coli), EN 16615 (yeasts).
