Welcome to the
Cleanzine - the original Cleaning & Hygiene industry e-news Read by industry professionals in 163 countriesworldwide We had a chuckle at home today, over the Nottingham Trent University student who forgot to shut his window when hurriedly leaving his room in Halls to head home before lockdown kicked in. He returned this week to find that pigeons had moved in, not only leaving pigeon mess all over the room, but laying two eggs in the sink and a hatched chick in the wardrobe! I pity the poor souls who had to clean up after both of these incidents, but perhaps not as much as the worker at the Exhall, Warwickshire, waste management centre who, investigating a terrible stench recently, opened a dumped chest freezer, only to find the body of a murdered man inside. As my daughter (who used to work as an office cleaner every evening after college) said: "You wouldn't know where to start, would you?" I'd felt the same, but quickly realised that this is probably where every good cleaner's training and experience kicks in. You can also follow us on Twitter @cleanzine Yours,
