Wave of WFH fatigue hits the UK, but employees still concerned their offices aren't Covid-secure With Covid-19 restrictions set to end on July 19th, more than half (52%) of British people currently working from home say they are ready to return to the office and are thus considered to have ‘Work From Home’ fatigue, but more than a third (35%) are still concerned their offices aren't Covid secure, according to new research from Mitie. While the typical office worker wants to go into the office between two and three days per week, three fifths (60%) think that the company they work for needs to improve the office environment to prevent staff becoming ill in the future. A cleaner and safer return to office work People will be concerned about cleanliness as they return to post lockdown work-life but observing some simple steps goes a long way to ensuring a smooth and safe transition, says Jim Roberts, product manager at visual communications specialist, Beaverswood… “As we ease out of lockdown and restrictions are relaxed, more and more of us will be able to return to our offices and workplaces. And as we return, and confidence grows, we will see an inevitable cultural shift - a new attitude and awareness to infection control. New Clean-a-Card offers rapid and effective automated hotel key card disinfection The pandemic has posed never-before-seen challenges for the hospitality industry, requiring owners, managers and brands to take new precautions to keep guests and staff safe. Despite our enthusiasm to travel again, we are more conscious than ever before about sanitation, safety, and cleanliness. Clean-a-Card addresses the need for rapid and effective automated hotel key card disinfection. The key card disinfection system achieves 99.9% microbe reduction using a combination of EPA-approved liquid sanitiser, dosage-controlled UV-C light and plasma disinfection. Proper maintenance of HVAC systems helps tackle IAQ concerns in a post pandemic world Goodway Technologies, the industrial HVAC maintenance product specialist, is reminding facilities managers how critical the correct maintenance of an HVAC system is to indoor air quality.
While many FMs have long understood the importance of IAQ, the pandemic has brought an increased emphasis on the need to keep employees and occupants safe and healthy, and with ‘back to work’ activity increasing, now is the time to act. What is the difference between sales reps and distributors? "Sales reps and manufacturers' reps are similar - however, they are not the same as distributors," says distributor-membership organisation Afflink's Michael Wilson... "End-customers are often confused by the terms, 'sales rep' and 'distributors'. Adding to the confusion, another term we often hear is 'manufacturers rep'. Many of us believe these are all about the same. For over a year, the huge DownTown Condominium office and retail centre has served as the Brazil pilot site of R-Water's eco-friendly device, widely used in the US to clean and disinfect surfaces in facilities such as hospitals, restaurants, sporting facilities and more - and which, in certain applications, is applied via drones. The DownTown Condominium has confirmed that it is impressed with R-Water's device for both its performance and decreased cleaning costs.
