Kärcher UK to demonstrate future of cleaning at The Cleaning Show 2021 Cleaning and maintenance equipment specialist, Kärcher UK, is set to excite The Cleaning Show attendees with its latest range of high-performance professional cleaning machines.
Visitors to the Kärcher stand can expect to find a carefully curated display that has been divided into four key areas to support facilities maintenance in the years to come: 'Driving Productivity', 'Sustainability', 'Cleaning Quality' and 'Added Value'. Soapbox: How businesses can fill the gap left by underfunded public toilet facilities Matt Anderson, director of Velair, writes... The British Toilet Association (BTA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of toilet hygiene, has recently reacted critically to news that Westminster is urging councils to reopen public toilets - but failing to provide the necessary funding. As the BTA points out, there is evidently a great deal of confusion around this point, as there is "no legal requirement in place to force local authorities to provide or run public toilets" despite ministers' insistence on toilet reopening around the country. Manufacturer teams up with Liverpool F.C. as cleaning & disinfectant partner As part of SC Johnson's multi-year 'Goals for Change' partnership with Liverpool Football Club (LFC), SC Johnson Professional's hand hygiene products will be used at LFC's stadium and AXA Training Centre.
As the Official Cleaning & Disinfectant Partner, the manufacturer will help LFC make its facilities safe and healthy for the return of supporters this season. The 'Goals for Change' partnership will include a series of initiatives to drive improvements in sustainability, health and opportunity. 12-year-old schoolboy creates latest Handy Dryer for tomorrow's Global Handwashing Day A 12-year-old schoolboy has joined forces with hand dryer manufacturer, Handy Dryers, to unveil a new model for Global Handwashing Day 2021. Zach Cosham (picturd below), a budding engineer from Hove, East Sussex, approached Handy Dryers two months ago with an idea for a new hand dryer called the 'Zebrillo'. His design would deliver an effective dry, minimise noise levels and promote healthy hand hygiene to young people during the pandemic. RAS awards six-star accreditation to first office washrooms The Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)'s office washrooms on Levels 18, 19 and 21 at mTower are the first to be awarded the top six-star rating for adopting holistic DFEC - Detect, Feedback, Eliminate and Clean smart washroom solutions.
The facilities have met the Restroom Association of Singapore's excellent service and cleanliness requirements, and all the cleaning attendants were certified with the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications in washroom cleaning. BICSs Annual Awards… a roaring success! The exceptional efforts of leading lights from the professional cleaning industry were in the spotlight at the recent British Institute of Cleaning Science Annual Awards, which recognise industry excellence. Renowned as one of the largest, most influential networking events in the UK cleaning industry's calendar, the glittering, star-studded event, hosted by TV personality Reverend Richard Coles with guest voice overs provided by TV actor, comedian, and impressionist Terry Mynott, was a roaring success. Dawsongroup sweepers secures largest Scottish sweeper contract Dawsongroup sweepers, one of the UK's leading rental suppliers of industrial and municipal cleaning vehicles, has secured the largest sweeper contract available in Scotland. Glasgow Council has awarded Dawsongroup sweepers with a contract to provide compact sweepers to the Scottish authority. Christeyns launches sustainable water technology in partnership with Veride In a joint venure with Belgian engineering company Veride, hygiene chemical specialist Christeyns has launched HydRO, a new technology to help professional laundries reduce fresh water consumption. With growing awareness and responsibility around water use and water quality and stricter effluent regulations coming into force in several European countries, water and wastewater management practices are of the upmost importance in the commerical laundry sector. EPA picks ACI as Safer Choice Partner of the Year The US Environmental Protection Agency has named the American Cleaning Institute, the trade association of the US cleaning product supply chain, as a Safer Choice Partner of the Year. ACI was recognised as an outstanding Safer Choice Supporter. EPA's Safer Choice program helps purchasers for facilities, such as schools and office buildings, and also consumers, find products that perform and are safer for human health and the environment. Vitesy is growing: Natede Smart is here After three successful crowdfunding campaigns and a consolidated reputation as a technology startup, Italian manufacturer Vitesy has taken a further step to affirm its sustainable identity in the indoor air purification and monitoring market. Its new Natede Smart is the technological and sustainable evolution of its previous product Natede: a smart air purifier that increases the purification power of plants thanks to a special patented system and powerful nanomaterials. TVH and Sinoboom BV sign partnership agreement On day two of crane, access and telehandler event Vertikal Days, parts specialist TVH signed a partnership agreement with Sinoboom BV, European subsidiary of China-based manufacturer of mobile elevating work platform solutions Sinoboom.
The partnership, which will launch in the Autumn, was signed by Kristof Bolle, senior VP EMEA for TVH, and Tim Whiteman, CEO of Sinoboom BV. Kingdom Cleaning secures string of new business wins Cleaning and soft services provider, Kingdom Cleaning, has secured a number of new business wins in recent months. The professional cleaning business, which acquired Facilicom UK in May 2021, has welcomed three new clients in the past few months.
