Seko Group acquires Dolphin Solutions' soap and paper towel dispensers’ business Seko has announced that Dolphin Solutions has agreed to sell all of the assets and intellectual property relating to its Excel range of soap dispensers to Seko UK, effective 27th September 2021. To ensure a smooth transition, Dolphin Solutions is continuing to support Seko UK in the transfer of all production activities and existing customers beyond the transfer date. Both companies have formulated a joint handover plan, with the priority to avoid any inconvenience for customers. Cleanology charity fundraiser tops £14,000 for The Hygiene Bank Over 100 of the best-known names in cleaning and facilities management came together this month to raise an impressive £7,000 in cash and a further £7,000 in product donations to support The Hygiene Bank charity in tackling hygiene poverty in the UK. Organiser and host of the fundraiser, Dominic Ponniah, CEO of Cleanology (pictured left), describes the support as incredible: "The generosity we've seen has been overwhelming. "We had to upscale our plans several times to adapt to demand for tickets. It shows that people across industry are willing to collaborate to support action for hygiene poverty, which is a serious issue for many in the UK." UK laundry trade sector suffers from staff shortages and service delays - but there is an answer It was widely reported that the laundry trade across the UK is suffering from staff shortages and logistics nightmares, with supply chains and hotels struggling to keep up with demand for basic requirements of clean bed sheets & linen despite the Summer holiday season having ended. Some hotels have reported being forced to delay guest check-ins, while one manager confessed to having taken the laundry home to do. A new alternative antiviral sanitising solution that is free from alcohol and chemicals is being launched by a Telford hygiene specialist.
Room Shield has signed a joint venture agreement with a North Staffordshire manufacturer to bring its HOCL (hypochlorous acid) products to the commercial marketplace. ISS strengthens leadership position in the healthcare segment in Turkey ISS A/S has acquired Rönesans Facility Management Company in Turkey from Rönesans Holding, a Turkish contracting company. As a result, ISS will provide facilities management services, including cleaning, security, food, pest control, landscaping, reception, patient transport, laundry services and waste management, in a Public-Private-Partnership at four newly built hospitals (Adana, Elazı, Bursa and Yozgat) in Turkey until 2045. EFCI's Online Week 2021: a meeting point to discuss our sector's role in post-covid Europe The European Cleaning & Facility Services Industry's 11th Conference, taking place online 11th - 15th October 2021, will feature daily seminars between 11.00 and 12.30 CET.
