Cleanzine - the original Cleaning & Hygiene industry e-news

Read by industry professionals in 163 countries worldwide!

You may recall me saying in last week's leader that I'd had problems with my Internet all week and sadly it didn't end there because for most of this week I haven't been able to access my email files. It's been so frustrating - particularly in as much as last week's problems prevented me from attending the last day of the cleaning show and this week's have meant that I've not been able to deal with hundreds of emails. So, if you were expecting me to visit your stand at the Cleaning Show and it didn't happen, or are awaiting a response to an email you've sent, please expect a call or email from me over the coming weeks...

As most of the news featured in Cleanzine is gleaned via email and Web systems I've set up, it's not been easy to prepare today's issue. This has led me to look at other areas - including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. and I must say that there's some fabulous stuff being posted that I'd love to have used, had I known about it. If you're going to the trouble of writing blogs and posting pictures, do please send them to me too, so I may consider them for use.

With the myriad of social media websites available, the chances are that if I've missed your news, your next potential (and potentially huge!) customer may have missed it too. Cleanzine doesn't just sit on the Web, it's sent out every week, and read by more than 100,000 industry professionals all over the world. Just imagine the impact a story and picture on our front page, could have on your bottom line!

* leader-pic.jpgAs an illustration, one Facebook post I came across refers to a brave gentleman abseiling down Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower to raise funds for Southampton Hospital Charity UK in memory of his granddaughter, with: "A big thank you to Wessex Cleaning Equipment and Janitorial Supplies for helping to make today happen". I don't know whether Tom works for the company or whether it supplied the equipment and perhaps, training he needed for his abseil, but there's a story here, don't you agree? And of course, anything 'bigging up' the cleaning industry is the sort of story I'd like to run...

Please get in touch either by emailing me or posting a comment on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/Cleanzine
