Vattenfall and ISS Sweden sign contract for nationwide collaboration
Swedish energy company, Vattenfall, has chosen ISS as sole provider of integrated facility services at all 250 offices and plants in Sweden. The new Nordic agreement will run for two years with the option to extend for a further two years.
ISS has been supplier to Vattenfall since 2006, a collaboration that has gradually expanded to include the nuclear power plants in Forsmark, Barsebäck, and Ringhals. With the newly signed agreement, the collaboration is extended further to include all of Vattenfall's offices as well as hydro and thermal power plants.
"We are incredibly proud and excited about our increased cooperation," says Lars Nygaard, Country Manager of ISS Sweden. "We have been able to offer Vattenfall a flexible solution that fits its complex operations, based on our experience in the nuclear industry.
"Vattenfall and ISS both have operations across the country, which means that we can leverage our infrastructure and provide consistent support nationwide, performed by our own employees. The fact that the services are delivered by our own employees also gives the client assurance, because we take full responsibility for the delivery in all areas."
With the agreement, Vattenfall includes all its business units in a single contract with ISS as a sole provider, which creates savings through coordination and operational benefits.
The agreement, which commences 1 January 2015, covers a variety of integrated services, such as cleaning, property maintenance, office services and fruit & beverage services.
