Superhero's mission is to make Japan's streets super clean and achieve world peace
Japan is well known for its comic-loving culture so it's probably the one place where you might expect to catch a real superhero in action, writes Melissa Hobbs. Cue Mangetsu-man (translated as Mr. Full Moon), who has taken to the streets of Tokyo and revealed his special powers - a dustpan, brush and broom.
But it's not just street cleanliness that's important to this superhero... world peace is his real goal and the steps he is taking to achieve this include inspiring volunteers to be bold and get involved too.
He told Reuters: "Cleaning isn't just about making something that's dirty, clean... it's about staying clean. So it's about keeping one's heart clean as well. So if more people around the world clean up then I believe that there will be less negative news. I want to clean up all the negativity in the world through the power of cleaning."
