This three-year £multi-million contract - with the option of two further 12 month extensions - is Julius Rutherfoord's largest contract win to date, and marks the company's expansion into the university sector.

The University is committed to academic excellence, focused on business and the professions, and is located in the heart of London, minutes away from the Square Mile - London's world-famous financial district.

The London specialist in cleaning & hygiene, will be responsible for cleaning the entire complex, which is used by students, academics and professional staff from all around the world. Services will include daily cleaning, window cleaning, washroom services and periodic deep cleans outside of term, including detailed floorcare work to restore surfaces affected by heavy footfall. The contractor's reputation as a specialist cleaner for educational establishments in London has developed over the past 20 years, thanks to the excellent services and results delivered for a large number of academic institutions. This includes West Thames College and the cleaning of schools for several London Boroughs including Harrow and Merton, as well as some of the capital's most prestigious independent schools. The organisation also has extensive experience working with high profile commercial organisations including the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Macmillan Publishing, The Institute of Cancer Research, Mind Candy, The Salvation Army, Amnesty International, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, and the Supreme Court of the UK.

The contractor uses innovative systems to effectively and efficiently manage the cleaning and grounds maintenance requirements across large estates, including vehicle tracking, technology, cleaner attendance monitoring and a sophisticated scheduling and communications application for operatives' mobile devices.
