What a difference a decade (or two) makes!
When we visited the Brightwell Dispensers stand and Suzanne Gardent showed us the computerised interactive ‘blowout’ of one of the company’s products, I remarked on just how much things have changed since I first visited the company’s facility in Newhaven on the South Coast, back in the early 90s as editor of Cleaning & Hygiene Today and watched the designers using CAD systems. This new programme really shows how things work and is a great sales and training tool.
It was only when I was looking on Brightwell’s website earlier this week that I saw how apt my comment had been. I’m not sure at which exhibition (or when) this black & white photo was taken but if anything shows what a long way Brightwell has come over the years, this is it!
Brightwell Dispensers has been a global designer and manufacturer of innovative soap, paper and chemical dispensers and dosing systems for over 60 years. Created in 1947, the company has gained a strong reputation as a reliable provider and partner for paper and chemicals manufacturers, janitorial companies, dishwasher and washing machines providers and international corporations. Based in the UK, the company has always been proud to be a successful family business driven by values. This is why the company's headquarters, innovation centre and primary manufacturing facilities are still based in the UK where it all started.
Brightwell currently exports to 85 countries worldwide, supported by a network of exclusive distributors. Its product ranges cover all hygiene environments such as away-from-home washrooms, healthcare and leisure facilities, on-premise and industrial laundries and professional kitchens.
As an active member of an ever-changing industry, Brightwell has always made it one of its missions to remain forward-thinking and to continue to design new products despite the great success of its existing ones and its dosing systems and dispensers are some of the most advanced in the industry. Besides, in-house design and manufacturing as well as thorough quality control during the entire process of product development and production, enables the company to offer a quick, flexible service while ensuring product excellence.
Indeed, in 2012, the company received the international certification ISO14001 which recognises businesses' environmental management system. It was added to the company’s existing ISO9001 certification which set out the criteria for a quality management system.
