Ryans shortlisted for honours

Venue and events cleaning specialist Ryans Cleaning believes it is the first company of its kind to gain the ISO 20121 Event Sustainability Management System award. And now the company has been shortlisted in the Small Firms Association Business Awards for Energy & Sustainability.

AJ Noonan, SFA Chairman and Chair of the Awards Judging Panel, says: "The response to this year's awards programme is a further reminder that Irish companies are resilient, putting their best foot forward and seeking recognition for their efforts.

"As well as our seven award categories we also feature five of the best Emerging New Businesses and I must say that given the quality of the businesses represented this year, entrepreneurship is alive and well in Ireland."

Pat Ryan, CEO of Ryans Cleaning, says: "We're proud to be associated with the best in business in Ireland. We are committed to environmental sustainability in everything we do on behalf of our customers and partners, and it's good to be recognised for it."

Ryans Cleaning employs more than 70 people full-time and 1,000-plus part-time and seasonal staff serving the requirements of fixed venues, international events, tradeshows and exhibitions as well as commercial, office and industrial cleaning premises in the UK and Ireland.

The other shortlisted companies in the Energy and Environmental Sustainability category are: Dezynamite, Offaly; KC's, Cork; Sirus Aircon, Cork; The Pallet Network, Dublin and Voya, Sligo.
