IFMA and BGFMA announce partnership through IFMA Alliance
The International Facility Management Association has formed an IFMA Alliance partnership with the Bulgarian Facility Management Association.
An IFMA Alliance partnership provides members of global facilities-related organisations like BGFMA and former IFMA component groups with select IFMA member benefits directed at individual skill development. Members of IFMA Alliance organisations become 'custom' members of IFMA with the ability to determine what information they wish to share with, and receive from, IFMA, based on their individual needs. BGFMA is the second partner in the heralded IFMA Alliance, following the induction of Facility Management Nederland last year.
"This new alliance partnership with the Bulgarian Facility Management Association is great news for everyone in IFMA," says IFMA President and CEO Tony Keane, CAE. "Not only does it improve the resources and knowledge pool we offer to existing members by bringing new professionals and ideas into the fold, but BGFMA can offer its members access to industry-leading educational and credential programmes offered by IFMA.
"The more we connect with facility managers around the world and the more we work as a team, the stronger our united voice to elevate the global recognition of the FM profession becomes.
"It's been a tremendous honour to work with the entire BGFMA team including Chairman Goran Milanov and Vice Chairman Tosho Kirov, and I look forward to a bright future moving our organizations and industry forward together."
Goran Milanov, chairman of BGFMA, elaborates: "We are very happy to sign such a partnership with IFMA. For sure this cooperation will benefit our members and will give both associations the ability to extend their FM horizons.
"We are working hard to disseminate the FM ideas and standards and this partnership will boost our efforts. Being able to work closely with IFMA will speed up our journey to FM maturity and will reinforce our position of Balkan centre of FM excellence."
