Karcher and Sanoserv win the Golden Broom Award 2013
At the opening of ISSA/Interclean Central & Eastern Europe 2013, the KM 105/100 R P from Karcher and the Touch-less Disinfecting Services from Sanoserv were announced as winners of Golden Broom Innovation Award.
Winner in the Product Category for Karcher, the KM 105/100 R is a new compact ride on sweeper in the one metre working width class. The machine is equipped with an automatic filter cleaning device, the KIK (Karcher Intelligent Key) in combination with a new operating panel that leads the user and service engineers through the entire machine and a new main broom concept, whereby a self-adjusting pressure device controls the footprint of the main broom in three eligible steps (eco, medium, heavy).
Winning the Technology Category, the latest generation of Sanoserv touch-less disinfection solutions combines the effect of both spraying devices and disinfectants. The disinfectant is a highly effective, oxidising disinfectant that kills 99.99% of all hazardous germs and bacteria without posing a threat to humans, animals or plants.
Research and development is vital for the future of businesses, and for a sustainable future, the Golden Broom Innovation Award strives to encourage this by rewarding innovation.
"The products and technologies entered for this year' Golden Broom competition showed innovative use of technology, solutions for an everyday problem and services to fulfil customers' needs better," said the jury when making its judgment. "It was a difficult task to elect the eventual winners from such an array of diverse and innovative products."

The Golden Broom Award is an initiative of PIGC - the Polish Cleaning Chamber of Commerce
With cooperation between ISSA and Amsterdam RAI, PIGC became the third member in a long term partnership for organising ISSA/ Interclean Central and Eastern Europe. The chamber of commerce organises training seminars and integration sessions, edits trade publications and represents members at meetings with government bodies.
