Ramon Hygiene strengthens quality credentials with ISO 9001 Certification
UK cleaning products manufacturer Ramon Hygiene Products has achieved ISO 9001 certification, adding the internationally recognised Quality Management System standard to its existing quality credentials.
The certification follows an independent audit of the systems and processes Ramon has in place to manage quality across its business, including process control, risk management, customer feedback and continual improvement.
Quality management is already well established within Ramon, which continues to maintain BRCGS Consumer Products certification. The addition of ISO 9001 provides customers with further independent assurance in the systems behind the products and service they receive from the company.
For Ramon's distributor customers, the certification also provides recognised ISO 9001 credentials where these form part of tenders, approved supplier processes or procurement requirements.
The certification comes as Ramon Hygiene celebrates 75 years of UK manufacturing… Founded in Leicester in 1951, the business continues to manufacture traditional textile cleaning cloths and socket mops at its Leicestershire facility, alongside supplying a comprehensive range of professional cleaning consumables.
The milestone follows a period of continued investment in the business, including significant expansion of Ramon's UK mop manufacturing capacity and the development of its patented Trinity Socket system, which was named joint winner of the Back of House Product Innovation Award at the 2026 Foodservice Packaging Association Awards.
"Quality management isn't new to Ramon, and we continue to maintain our BRCGS certification,” says the company’s head of product & marketing, Carl Kozimor. “ISO 9001 builds on those foundations and gives our customers further independent assurance in the way we operate.
"As we continue to invest and grow, it's important that the systems behind the business develop with us. Achieving ISO 9001 in our 75th anniversary year makes it particularly significant."
