North East waste company’s new fleet will enhance customer service
J&B Recycling, an FCC Environment company, has strengthened its transport operations with the arrival of five new MAN TGS 35.440 hookloader vehicles, as part of continued investment to support the company’s growth and deliver a reliable, high-quality service to customers across the North East.
This £820,000 investment forms part of the Hartlepool-based ongoing programme of investment in its fleet and operations, strengthening the infrastructure behind its waste management and recycling services across the region. The new vehicles will support both customer collections and the movement of significant volumes of waste and recyclable materials between the company’s sites and processing facilities.
“Growth is important to us, but it has to be sustainable and backed by the right investment,” explains Mark Penny, commercial manager at J&B Recycling. “As we continue to develop our customer base and the services we provide across the North East, we need to make sure our fleet and infrastructure grow with us.
“These five new hookloaders give us additional capacity and resilience within a really important part of our operation. For our customers, that ultimately means having the right vehicles and resources in place to provide the reliable, responsive service they expect from J&B.
“It is also about investing in quality. Modern, reliable equipment supports our drivers, improves operational efficiency and helps us maintain consistently high standards as the business continues to grow.”
The five vehicles will operate throughout the North East, supporting roll-on/roll-off collections for customers as well as the movement of materials across J&B Recycling’s network of sites.
