Magnera's Paul Harmon appointed to inaugural Global Nonwovens Alliance Board
Magnera’s chief innovation and marketing officer, Paul Harmon, has been appointed to the inaugural board of directors of the Global Nonwovens Alliance – the Association formed earlier this year by EDANA, (the European Disposables & Nonwovens Association) and INDA, (the International Nonwoven Disposables Association) with the aim of unifying the global nonwovens value chain.
Paul's appointment reflects Magnera's commitment to shaping the future of nonwovens through strategic innovation, marketing leadership and sustainable product development. His deep industry expertise and forward-thinking approach will contribute to the Alliance's efforts to align global priorities and deliver meaningful impact.
This newly formed board, which also currently includes Mark A Thornton, Procter & Gamble; Douglas Dowdel, International Paper; Jaren J Edwards, Everra; Jodi Russell, Clorox; Mike Clark, Hollingsworth & Vose; Mikael Staal Axelsen, Fibertex Personal Care/Innowo Print; Anke Renz, Essity; Giorgio Mantovani, Corman; Jörg Ortmeier, TWE Group GmbH; Thorsten Habeck, BASF SE, and Ulrich Hornfeck, Sandler AG, brings together influential leaders from across North America and Europe to advance collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth within the nonwovens industry.
The GNA Board has now held its first official meeting, setting the stage for a unified agenda that prioritises sustainability, innovation and long-term value creation. In the coming months, the Board will work collaboratively to define key initiatives and establish a strong foundation for the Alliance's global efforts.
