Star Platforms' 'WE RISE' initiative is the gift that keeps giving!
In 2020, Star Platforms received an SJ3219 DC scissor lift as part of Skyjack's 'WE RISE' charitable recognition campaign, celebrating the access industry's positive impact during the pandemic. Awarded by former Skyjack president, Ken McDougall, Star Platforms pledged to donate all proceeds from the hire of the machine to various charities.
"The 'WE RISE' machine has been incredibly popular with our employees and customers, helping us raise much-needed funds for charities close to our hearts," reports Richard Miller, managing director of Star Platforms. "Since winning this machine, we have already supported 13 different charities with donations totalling over £10,000."
The charities that have benefitted from this initiative include: The Hospice of St Francis, The Alzheimer's Society, Emily's Star, CRASH, Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain, Wildlife Aid, MacMillan, Andy Man's Club, Prostate Cancer, TeamJed, iCARP, British Heart Foundation, and Keech Hospice.
New Skyjack President, Charlie Patterson, comments:
"It's inspiring to see the 'WE RISE' initiative continue to make a meaningful impact. Star Platforms' dedication to supporting worthy causes exemplifies the spirit of the campaign, and we are proud to see the positive outcomes it has generated."
Richard adds:
"We are pleased to announce that in the coming months, the proceeds from the hire of the 'WE RISE' scissor lift will support two wonderful charities: Forever Stars and Gaddesden Place Riding School."
For those needing an electric scissor lift with a working height of up to 7.80 metres, hiring the 'WE RISE' machine from Star Platforms not only meets your operational needs but also contributes to these important charitable causes.
Star Platforms operates across seven depots and has its head office in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire. Its modern hire fleet includes scissor lifts with working heights from 5.6m to 22m, cherry pickers from 8.15 to 28 metres, and a range of lower-level access platforms.
The company also offers platforms for sale from leading manufacturers, including: Skyjack, Genie, Niftylift, JLG, Haulotte, Dingli, Power Tower and Manitou, as well as Genie material lifts, and is a leading provider of IPAF training courses across its seven dedicated training centres.
