Mould meets its Waterloo! HG urges 'Get It Right the 1st Time' at first roadshow

* Mould-Waterloo.jpgEd: OK so the product may be aimed at households, but bearing in mind the publicity this clever campaign will get, along with the fact that it will help raise funds for homelessness charity Shelter, we just had to share it…

HG has launched its HG mould remover 'Get It Right the 1st Time' roadshow, with experts on hand to offer everyone advice on how to prevent and treat mould in their homes at London Waterloo Railway Station, today. The HG Mould Spray Mascot and the rest of the team, will invite commuters and travellers to win prizes that will enable them to make their homes mould-free this winter and beyond.

Winter accelerates damp, mould and condensation for the 11.8 million people suffering with this problem in the UK and the 51% of private renters living with it in their home.

Untreated mould can impact people's health, especially the very young and old and those with weakened immune systems. HG is sharing with the British public in two of the UK's busiest railway stations, its expert mould prevention tips around cleaning and ventilation as some of the ways to stop the fungus.

The first part of the roadshow took place in Birmingham New Street Railway Station, last Thursday.

"We are delighted to share our first 'Get It Right the 1st Time' UK roadshow to demonstrate how people can tackle their mould issues head on,” says HG’s head of UK sales, Gina Slade. “All of us at HG are very aware of the impact damp and mould has on people's health so we want to help out in this rising crisis by sharing our expert knowledge on how to prevent it and how to treat it. On our stand our HG experts will offer cleaning advice and will also be there to have some fun with mould-busting prizes for travellers and commuters."

“As part of our wider charitable commitments HG has collaborated with Shelter in a campaign called 'Together for Safer and Healthier Homes',” adds Gina. “We are giving 5% of sales of our HG mould spray to Shelter until mid-May 2024 and promoting our expert knowledge on damp and mould alongside the charity to its communities. This will finance the creation of new digital tools on Shelter’s website that could help 150,000 people living with complex or serious damp and mould problems to get the advice and expert guidance they need. We can't wait to continue to work together and launch the tools later this year."
