EFCI engages in LIFE Event
EFCI - the European Cleaning & Facilities Services Industry, took part in the recent LIFE, (Labour Intensive Facility Event) which gathers key players in the facilities management and integrated services sector to discuss ways to move the industry forward.
Organised by the Fondazione LIFE and promoted by Confindustria Servizi HCFS, whose president is also EFCI's president Lorenzo Mattiol, the event – the eighth in the series, was held at the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino, Italy.
LIFE positions itself as a multifunctional moment and space, bringing together the vast world of economic operators engaged in the sector. It aims to aid the growth of a sense of belonging and foster the involvement of opinion leaders from various sectors (politics, media, culture, communication, university, etc.) in addressing the challenges of the sector.
“LIFE carries a powerful promise: to restart from work and envision the individual and economic future of the country,” says EFCI. “LIFE is not merely a fair, not just a conference, but an open space, multifunctional and in progress. It is a dynamic platform where discussions, debates, and presentations of elements and solutions that characterise facility services and management unfold in an innovative, fast, and modern manner.
This year's theme, ‘Le persone al centro del nuovo umanesimo industriale’, (People at the centre of the new industrial humanism) aimed to culminate in the creation of a manifesto outlining the sector's future - the new Manifesto dei Servizi di Urbino.
The event is marked by institutional greetings, table & speech sessions for industry discussions, and thematic focuses such as sustainable economy, labour-intensive work, innovation 5.0 and digital transformation, ecological transition, internationalisation, market and regulations.
The EFCI team at the event, pictured here with Interclean’s Robert Stelling, says it is pleased that EFCI will be actively participating in Interclean Amsterdam: “As we anticipate the upcoming event in March, the collaboration between EFCI and Interclean promises to foster meaningful connections and contribute to the ongoing advancements within the cleaning industry. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey together.”
