Eureka SpA aims high: new CEO and brand identity to consolidate and build on recent growth
Active since 1986, Italian cleaning machine manufacturer, Eureka SpA, has enjoyed some remarkable growth internationally over the past couple of decades, and is now planning to consolidate and build on this success with the appointment of a new CEO and launch of a new brand identity.
The Cittadella-based organisation surpassed 20 million Euros in turnover and boasted 130 employees in 2022, consolidating its role as a major player in the international market over the years...
Remarkable growth if one considers that in the last 20 years, the company has almost quadrupled its turnover, going from six million Euros in 2003 to 22.5 Euros in 2022. This growth is also confirmed by the increase in the number of employees, which in the same number of years grew from 41 to 132.
However, the aim of the company's owners is not to stop! "Pride in where we have managed to arrive must not be an obstacle to limiting our ambitions," says Gianfranco Lago, who founded the company together with Renato Scremin. "The market recognises the quality of our machines and, despite the competition, Eureka is constantly growing, and this reassures us of the integrity of our project and the strength of our vision"
Renato adds: "It is precisely for these reasons, that we wanted to invest in a new decision-making structure that allows us to acquire new knowledge in terms of company organisation and guide the growth that is already underway towards increasingly stimulating goals.".
It was this thought process that led the owners to the decision to entrust the position of Chief Executive Officer to the skills and many years of experience of Dr Antonio Barile, who in his career has held management positions in international companies such as PPM Industries SpA, Autogrill SpA, and Diadora Group Holding SpA.
In recent years, Eureka has stood out in its investment in equipment and systems and is therefore ready to accompany the leap in quality already underway with a corporate structure that will allow the company to think big.
In 2020, a 3,500sq.m building was added to Eureka's headquarters to serve the local market with offices, warehouses and an internal workshop.
Then from this, in 2023, the expansion of the company's main production facility came into operation, taking Eureka's total floor area from 13,500sq.m to over 20,000sq.m. An extension of 7,300sq.m, houses new assembly lines and new spaces for the internal carpentry. A 2m high vertical warehouse will also be put into operation shortly... a masterpiece of automation that delivers better and faster handling of 6,000 cases and 600 pallets.
Says the new CEO:
"I am extremely satisfied with the assignment received from the management made up of the Lago and Scremin families - and I believe that human and technical potential is already making a difference in Eureka.
"My mission is to further structure the company, preparing us to courageously face the significant challenges our market presents.
"In Eureka I found a company that can think big in the next few years, focusing on everything it already has, and improving its internal structure and decision-making dynamics. My goal will be to push the accelerator of this Italian jewel to make it one of the important players in the international panorama of quality cleaning machines."
To celebrate this new season, in the corporate life of Eureka, there is also a new logo, which brings a breath of freshness and enthusiasm for the future. The visual concept of the new brand is an 'exclamation E', a symbol that arises from the fusion of the initial letter of the word Eureka with an exclamation mark. "An affirmation of presence," says the team... "Eureka in ancient Greek represents the expression of amazement and satisfaction of those who 'find a solution' - defined on a yellow diagonal background to symbolise the perfect cleaning path that Eureka machines leave on the first pass."
