RIT partners with PathoSans for safe and sustainable cleaning solutions
PathoSans, provider of sustainable and socially-responsible cleaning and disinfecting solutions, has partnered with Rochester Institute of Technology to provide a more efficient, sustainable and safer cleaning program. RIT, one of the world's leading technological universities, uses PathoSans' sustainable and socially responsible cleaning solutions to clean its academic buildings, athletic facilities and residence halls.
"Safety is at the forefront of our thought process," explains Derek Sylvester, director of facilities services for RIT. "PathoSans cleaning chemicals are not caustic like some of the others on the market. It's mild when it comes to skin contact."
PathoSans, a provider of electrochemically activated solutions (ECAS), produces a cleaner and disinfectant with just salt, water and electricity. A division of spray nozzle and precision spray technology specialist Spraying Systems, which has operated in Illinois for over 80, its products contain no added fragrances and are safe for use on campus. The disinfectant eliminates pathogens and can kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses in seconds while also being non-irritating to the skin.
RIT is known for being a vibrant, connected community, home to diverse and creative students from more than 100 countries.
