ISSA Pulire 2023: very successful with 20,058 visitors
The 26th edition of ISSA Pulire, held last over three days last week in Milan's Fieramilano Rho, was a marked success, with 373 exhibitors from 21 countries - 104 of them new - playing host to an impressive 20,058 visitors. This was a clear increase over the previous two editions.
The return of overseas visitors contributed to this impressive result, representing 33.45% of the attendance; while the co-location with three trade shows, TuttoFood, Made in Steel and Lamiera, brought in additional value.
Visitors came from 107 different countries and they included 29 buyers selected and organised by the ICE Agency: foreign delegations from the US, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana.
"We were certain that moving to Milan would help the ISSA Pulire show grow, and so it has," reveals Toni D'Andrea, CEO of ISSA Pulire Network. "Enthusiasm and satisfaction expressed by the exhibitors prove that this courageous choice is bearing the desired fruits. This edition determines the launch of a new course that begins with this edition and aims at fulfilling the project of integration, internationalisation and ever greater growth."
The conference program that took place at the ISSA Pulire Lab involved more than 100 speakers and four conference halls. They addressed issues relating to new problems, procedures and processes regarding training and professional dissemination; sharing their expertise in providing services in sensitive and significant sectors such as healthcare, food service and hospitality.
The Show was enlivened by two competitions: the ISSA Pulire 2023 Product of the Year Award and -Hackathon - Smart Facility: Cleaning Connected to the Future. The third edition of the Product of the year award, which rewards research and innovation in the various sectors celebrated two winners: the ex aequo: Xibu 2Wipe hybrid by Hagleitner Hygiene International GmbH and DRC300Z HEPA - Cordless Robot Cleaner by Makita SpA.
The Xibu 2Wipe hybrid is an automatic wet wipe dispenser - in essence a touch-free surface-sanitising wipe dispenser that dispenses cloth after cloth entirely; whilst also protecting its contents.
The DRC300Z HEPA - Cordless Robot Cleaner 18V is equipped with a camera and 360-degree laser radar that can map up to five areas and up to 10,000sq.m.
The other finalists selected by the international jury were: BubbleFlush Ultrasonic Toilet Cleaner by C.A-L. ITALIA SRL, Envu Digital Pest Management by Envu, and the R3 Scrub by LionsBot.
Nine teams of university students took part in the first edition of the ISSA Pulire Hackathon, aimed at developing an innovative idea involving digital tools, which can contribute to the ESG goals through the work of the cleaners. The jury proclaimed the team sponsored by Papernet the winner, for its project that combined nature and technology. Taking second place was the team sponsored by Vileda Professional.
Successful entrepreneurship was also celebrated with the ISSA Distinguished Industry Award, which recognises the activities carried out by companies in the sector in spreading the culture of cleanliness.
The winner of the prize was Milan-based I.C.E. For, for the excellent results achieved in its decades-long activity as a manufacturer and supplier of professional cleaning chemicals, along with its contribution to spreading the values of solidarity with highly effective corporate initiatives, of sustainability and legality.
