Two speakers announced for upcoming London Cleaning Show
With The Cleaning Show in London’s ExCel not far off, (14th – 16th March, 2023) the organisers are busy getting the conference programme together and have now confirmed the first two speakers.
Jim Melvin, chairman, British Cleaning Council, will be speaking on ‘The Cleaning Sector Post-Pandemic - Progress, Obstacles and the Future’.
During this 'state of the nation' keynote, Jim will review the BCC's stated aims, consider what has been commenced and/or completed during the previous 12 months or so, take a look at what hasn't progressed and why, and what the next steps will be. The audience will be given the opportunity to raise questions and suggest goals for the BCC to aim for, over the year ahead.
Delia Cannings, of Environmental Excellence Training Development, will speak on ‘Education Opportunities for the Cleaning Industry. What have we got now? What do we want going forward? Where do we get it from?’
This presentation will provide an overview that considers the value and importance of training, and is designed to assist with succession planning for the future.
The reassurance of robust and effective cleaning services is now demanded by clients and the management of cleaning services is being closely scrutinised in an attempt to reduce risk factors whilst creating safer spaces. Recognition of the skill-base required to clean and protect is therefore essential, requiring cleaning credentials to feature high on the agenda of Government-funded programmes, including apprenticeships.
