Principle signs up to support armed forces
Principle Cleaning Services has signed up to the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant; a written, publicised, voluntary pledge to support those who have served, in returning to civilian life and work.
The company, which has received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award, will continue to grow the number of ex-forces personnel it employs and will offer an additional route of employment for those leaving service through its affiliation with the Career Transitional Partnership.
It will also support service spouses and partners by partnering with the Forces Families Jobs Forum as well as providing flexible leave options to assist with deployment and training.
"We are proud to promote our armed forces-friendly status and recognise the value, expertise and wide range of transferable skills that those who have served our country and their families bring, both to our business and the wider working environment," says Lilia lamberto, director of people & culture, Principle Cleaning Services. "We are looking forward to working with both the CTP and the FFJF to provide more employment opportunities for those returning to civilian life."
Principle has also pledged to support Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities; and armed forces charities with fundraising and volunteering.
Principle cleaning services is a market leader in providing corporate, commercial cleaning in London. Established in 1989, the privately-owned company today has an annual turnover of of £62 million-plus and employs over 2,200 people. Its clients include such well-known landmarks as The Shard, 20 Fenchurch Street and 30 St Mary Axe.
