NFSI hosts international symposium on slip, trip, and fall prevention

* NFSI.jpgThe National Floor Safety Institute will host its second International Symposium on Slip, Trip and Fall Prevention on September 25th - 26th, 2023, at the Hurst Convention Center in Hurst, Texas.

This two-day event will feature 48 speakers who will address the growing problem of accidental slips, trips, and falls and will highlight four industry-specific learning tracks:

* Foodservice/Hospitality/Healthcare
* Retail/Grocery/Public Facilities
* Legal/Regulation/Insurance/Risk Management
* Facilities Maintenance/Housekeeping/Janitorial

The events' keynote speaker will be John Quiñones, ABC News veteran, creator & host of What Would You Do? and will discuss the media's view of safety.

Risk and safety professionals, attorneys, insurers, architects, forensic engineers, consultants, facilities managers, building service contractors, flooring and floor care manufacturers, and safety footwear suppliers are encouraged to attend.

A call for speakers is currently open through 15th December, 2022. Attendee registration will open in March 2023. Founded in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation, NFSI states that its mission is to "aid in the prevention of slips, trips, and falls through education, research, and standards development."

The NFSI is a champion for slip, trip and fall prevention and provides third-party independent product testing, educational training programs, and oversees the NFSI B101 committee which authors slip, trip and fall prevention standards.
