Time Out for Mike

* Mike-Osiadacz.jpgAfter 37 years in the cleaning industry, Mike Osiadacz, sales director for Matrix Cleaning Systems for the past 10 years, has decided to take retirement. Those who know Mike - and there will be many who do, will know that for the past 23 years he has been involved with steam cleaning equipment… Something that he has been very passionate about and evident when he is presenting and demonstrating.

Mike recalls that it all started back in 1985 at Premiere Products when he was working on the production line building single disc rotary machines, before moving into sales and joining the National Accounts Division, selling into local authorities and relocating to the North East and eventually back to the South West.

It was 1999 and an opportunity to get involved in the steam industry came along, a niche product that could offer solutions to clients in many market sectors.

Mike tells us that setting up distributorships and global partnerships has been very rewarding and enjoyable, with some great trips around the world, (and making some great friends along the way)! He has been involved in and supported many organisations such as the Association of Healthcare Cleaning Professionals, the UK Housekeeping Association and the ISSA as well as training organisations such as the British Institute of Cleaning Science. Training & education has always been a passion for Mike, who feels that delivering knowledge is very rewarding and key to the success of the product in use.

Mike says he wants to spend more time with his close family, taking the opportunity to be with grandchildren who are growing up so quickly, possibly learning to play golf, which he has never had the time to do, reading again - never in recent years having had the time to turn the pages.

“More time for holidays with Kate as we celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next year, too,” he adds. “And most importantly staying healthy and relaxing, without having to always look at the clock to see how much more work I can fit into my day’s schedule.”
