Jon Graves appointed as Greenteck Global's first chief operating officer

* Jon-Graves.jpgGreenTeck Global has strengthened its leadership team to support the company's ambitious growth plans by recruiting Jon Graves as chief operating officer.

The appointment follows a series of high-profile contract wins for the specialist hygiene technology innovator, including a five-year exclusive partnership with Alliance Scotland throughout Scotland, plus a five-year deal for Phs Group to supply GreenTeck Global's innovative EcoFlow washroom system.

In his new COO role, Jon will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day operations and helping raise awareness of GreenTeck Global's innovative range of COSHH-free, chemical-free cleaning solutions as well as sustainable waste management systems.

Jon, who joined the GreenTreck Global team this month, brings over 30 years' experience within the sustainable packaging and logistics industries, and has a strong track-record in building companies and delivering environmentally-friendly business solutions. As a qualified accountant, he worked across several business units at international packaging business DS Smith in both a financial and operational capacity. During his 12 years he became the company's youngest general manager, with responsibility for developing their returnable packaging services division.

Jon went on to spend 10 years with food and beverage packaging specialist PLS, where - following the company's purchase by Bibby Distribution - he was responsible for expanding its services across Europe into Germany and Poland.

Capitalising on his deep market expertise, vision and entrepreneurial spirit, in 2018 he was part of the team who acquired supermarket crate-washing specialist Ralph Coleman International.

As the owner of Pack Smart, which he founded in early 2022, Jon will continue as chief executive for the food packaging business and also retains his role as non-executive director of Pallite, which manufactures sustainable products for warehouse storage.

David Thurston, founder and CEO of GreenTeck Global, says of the appointment: "I am delighted to welcome Jon to GreenTeck Global's leadership team. Jon shares our passion for delivering solutions that make a positive difference, and I am confident that his combination of financial and operational expertise will prove invaluable as we look to expand into new markets and product lines."

Jon says: "As a big admirer of GreenTeck Global's mission to reduce dependency on chemical-based products, I am excited to be joining this industry pioneer at such a pivotal moment.

"Throughout my career I have advocated the importance of circular economy practices, and long championed the benefits of organisations incorporating sustainable solutions across every area of their business. I therefore look forward to working alongside David to help make GreenTeck Global's game-changing range of chemical-free cleaning products and waste management systems even more accessible."
