New country manager for Tennant UK
Tennant UK has welcomed Peter Tye (pictured) as the new country manager following the retirement of Nick Hayes.
Peter joins the Tennant family from Renault Trucks UK and Ireland where he was the Used Truck & Rental director. He was responsible for the strategy, sales, operations and remarketing within the Used Truck division and, under his direction, the business achieved significant growth and profitability.
A qualified accountant, Peter has strong commercial skills and significant experience in leading both franchised and owned multi-site operations, driving innovation and growth through focused investment in people, customers, distribution networks and new services.
Peter joined Tennant Company on 1st July and has worked closely with Nick Hayes to ensure a smooth transition.
Nick, who retiresd on 1st August after 12 years of service to Tennant, was actively involved in the recruitment of Peter.
"I've already met with a number of key people within Tennant Company and there is a collective expertise and passion that runs throughout the company,” says Peter. “I'm very excited to be a part of such a recognised leader in the cleaning machine industry and I'm looking forward to being part of the team that delivers our products and services Tennant to our customers."
Prior to Renault Trucks, Peter held board level roles at ATS Euromaster as operations director, where he led the Retail division within the UK, and before that Goodyear Dunlop UK in the role of retail director where he managed the distribution network of HiQ.
