Fire destroys Idrobase Group warehouse
In the night between Saturday and Sunday, a violent fire, which broke out around 02:00 as a result of causes that are still being investigated, destroyed one of the warehouses at the Idrobase Group headquarters in Borgoricco, near Padua, Italy.
Some 20 firefighters arrived on the scene with three fire trucks, two tankers, a ladder truck and an 'air tank'. Their intervention, which lasted about five hours, managed to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to the company's other buildings which house the production departments and administrative offices.
The company's owners and employees are already at work to sanitise the smoke-contaminated buildings so production of Idrobase high pressure water equipment can be resumed as soon as possible.
