BICSc Awards: shortlist of finalists revealed
The shortlist of finalists for the British Institute of Cleaning Science Awards 2022, which celebrate the exceptional efforts of leading lights from the professional cleaning industry, has been announced.
The organisation was inundated with entries for these popular annual Awards
this year, in a program which will culminate in an Awards Dinner on Thursday, 22nd September 2022, at The Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club, Meriden.
TV presenter and former England international rugby player Martin Bayfield is the celebrity host for the Awards – an event renowned as one of the largest and most influential in the cleaning industry's calendar.
Neil Spencer-Cook, chief operating officer at BICSc, says: "We have been delighted with the exceptionally high standard of entries for this year's awards, which recognises and rewards industry excellence, shining a spotlight on inspirational individuals operating within the global cleaning community.
"We are thrilled to share the shortlist of finalists for our prestigious awards, with the next stage of judging getting underway shortly. We would like to congratulate all the finalists and thank everyone who has entered. We look forward to what will be an incredible Awards ceremony where winners will be announced."
The finalists are:
Outstanding Corporate Member - presented to a BICSc corporate member for outstanding corporate commitment to the Institute and through excellence in supporting the organisation's goal of creating a career in cleaning:

Excellence in Training and Assessment UK - this Award is for training & development by an Accredited Training Member, who is audited and approved to deliver BICSc training and assessment within their organisation based in Great Britain:

• University of Northampton
Excellence in Training & Assessment (International) - this Award is for training & development by an Accredited Training Member, who is audited and approved to deliver BICSc training & assessment within their organisation operating outside of Great Britain:
• Infracare Maintenance and Cleaning Services
• Berkeley Services UAE
• Cleanco Cleaning Services & Building Maintenance
• Emrill Services
Assessor of the Year - this Award acknowledges the success of an inspirational individual Licensed Assessor who continues to strive to raise standards and demonstrates an outstanding level of passion, professionalism and commitment to excellence for their students and themselves:
• Oliver Empson - The Queen Elizabeth Hospital
• Caroline Johnson - University of Northampton
• Tina Memory - London Borough of Hounslow
Outstanding Client Commitment by a cleaning operative - this inaugural Award, being presented for the first time in 2022, is for candidates who have been nominated by their client. The award is for an individual who exhibits exceptional commitment to BICSc standards:
• Donna Harris - University of Northampton
• Simon Rooney - BICSc Training & Services
Outstanding Candidate of the Year - this special Award reflects the exceptional achievement of an individual and their award of BICSc qualifications. It is presented to someone who has gone the extra miles to complete and receive BICSc qualifications within the workplace:
