Kleen-Tex commits to a sustainable future with new product development lead

* Kleen-Tex_Steve-Sargeant.jpgKleen-Tex, one of the world's leading floor mat manufacturers, has announced a new senior appointment as part of its significant investment into product development, to ensure it provides customers across the globe with sustainable, high performance matting solutions.

As part of Kleen-Tex's evolving growth strategy, Steve Sargeant, Kleen-Tex's new head of new product development, will play an integral role in implementing the company's major investment to further enhance the environmental credentials and functionality of its products.

With over 30 years' experience in product development, marketing and commercial strategies, Steve began his career in Singapore at Philips Lighting, where he became the lighting design and application manager for Asia Pacific. More recently, Steve held the position of head of pricing management at zumtobel group, before being appointed commercial manager for Northern Europe.

"This is an extremely exciting time for Kleen-Tex as it undertakes major investment into developing the environmental efficiency of its comprehensive product range, whilst also meeting the needs of its diverse customer base throughout the residential, commercial and industrial, promotion and textile industries,” says Steve.

"Across all divisions of the business, we are working together to achieve this, whilst simultaneously identifying opportunities for new product development to meet the ever-changing needs of Kleen-Tex's customers."

In 2021, Kleen-Tex launched a new offering of sustainable floor matting solutions, including its heavy-duty Super-Mat range, which features 100% Econyl fibres, a regenerated nylon textile composed of man-made ocean and landfill waste, including abandoned fish nets.

Drawing on Steve's extensive knowledge and Kleen-Tex's 50 years of experience as an innovator of premium quality products, the latest appointment marks an exciting new chapter in the company's rich history.

Gary Haynes, managing director at Kleen-Tex, says: "We have a responsibility as one of the world's leading floor matting manufacturers to continuously improve the environmental impact of our products, whilst simultaneously extending their lifecycle.

"Steve's appointment forms part of a dedicated investment into the design, manufacture and supply of a new generation of sustainable products that set the standard for the level of quality and performance that our customers expect from us. I look forward to working closely with Steve and the team as we achieve a more sustainable future for all."

Manufacturer of floor mats since 1967, Kleen-Tex Industries is one of the world's leading manufacturers of precision mats, with global operations in Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and South America. Utilising state-of-the-art processes, Kleen-Tex’s extensive range of robust textile and rubber-backed floor mats are manufactured to ISO 14001:2015.
