Frustrated by Covid-19 travel restrictions, at 67, Andrew Cawthorne has left retirement behind and started a new company specialised in washroom and PPE.

After over 25 years in the washroom business, (in the latter years, as key account manager, Europe, at Kennedy Hygiene) Andrew, a multi-lingual resident of France for over 45 years, comments:

"It seemed a waste not to put my knowledge of the sector to use for the benefit of my network of contacts, both suppliers and customers, whilst keeping me sane."

His newly formed company, AK3PI, has taken a subsidised unit run by the Calais Chamber of Commerce where he aims to supply both local and European companies with washroom disposables and dispensers, as well as coveralls, gowns, and masks.

"All my suppliers are known to me personally,” explains Andrew. “They have a common thread: reliability, flexibility, short lead times - and, of course, competitive prices!"
