New appointment at Rainbow sees 30 years of technical experience return to the team

* RAINBOW-Appt.jpgRainbow International’s Technical Manager Ron Rookledge has returned to the business after a brief hiatus – bringing back a wealth of experience and knowledge, bolstering Rainbow’s technical offering.

Ron has over 30 years of experience working within the cleaning & restoration sector. Having first worked in the industry in the late 80’s, Ron then took a brief break to work on caravans, before joining again in 1999 working with one of the leading damage management companies of the time. This move saw Ron make the transition from being a hands-on Cleaning & Restoration Technician to taking up the position of Technical Support & Trainer, predominantly in soft furnishings cleaning & restoration. During this time Ron held several different managerial positions, and also introduced a quality and technical audit program to ISO9000 accreditation standard, new service offerings to complement the company’s restoration services, including specialist Accidental Damage, Leather Restoration and the UKs first accredited Soft Furnishings training programme. Latterly he headed up a network of field based technicians covering the UK.

When asked about what excites him about his return to Rainbow International Ron commented: “Rainbow International UK and its network of branches are uniquely placed to provide a consistent damage management service on a national basis. Helping our branches and their technicians continue to achieve this is what excites me about coming back to this awesome brand.

“Since the change of ownership back in June this year, the business has become more agile and in a better position to respond quickly to innovation and client needs. This provides an exciting, ever changing work environment to keep me on my toes.

“As time moves on, I look forward to helping Rainbow International and its branches continue on their journey of being the UK’s leading damage management organisation by improving our technical offering industry leading education programmes and market leading innovation.”

Kerry Bhella, operations director for Rainbow International comment: “Adding a new person to the team is always exciting but when that team member is already part of the Rainbow family it’s even better.

“Ron had a full project list from day one and we are looking forward to getting back to face to face training now covid restrictions are lifting. Our network delivers exceptional and this is strengthened with our consistently high world-class cNPS score.

That being said our strategic move to develop our in-house technical team ensure as a business we can stay at the forefront and also look into possibilities of adding complementary core services to our service offering like we have successfully done with our leak detection - trace & access roll out.”
