Laundrapp takes a bite of the big apple with New York launch
Award-winning, on-demand laundry app Laundrapp, which provides eco-friendly commercial and domestic laundry and dry-cleaning services across the UK, is now taking orders from New Yorkers who are keen to free up time by having hassle-free, 48-hour turnaround dry cleaning delivered straight to their door.
The news comes less than six months since the company announced plans to explore the UK's first drone trials.
“After the huge success of our updated app 12 months ago, we've focused on our expansion to the US,” reveals Allan Warburton, Laundrapp managing director. " The primary goal of Laundrapp is to offer excellent clothing care with an unrivalled user experience. We're now pleased to be able to offer world-leading technology, developed in the UK, combined with the highest cleaning standards to our friends across the pond."
Laundrapp collects, launders and returns items within 48 hours. The contact-free collection and delivery service cleans everything from uniforms and other clothing to bedding, towels and other items. It recently launched a 60 degreesC hot wash laundry option to help destroy germs in the fight against Covid-19.
Dan Shaw, managing director of parent group, Inc Retail, says: "Our Laundrapp team have been working non-stop during Covid with plans for bringing our next-gen technology and outstanding customer service to wider markets. I'm thrilled that we are now taking live orders in New York, and this is all down to the hard work and dedication of Allan and his team."
Initially, with a launch in the city of New York, there are plans for further states to be added in due course. In 2021 Laundrapp processed two million orders since being founded in 2015 and continues to grow from strength to strength.
