Exclusive Services Group achieves GBAC STAR accreditation to Covid-19 disinfection
Accreditation to the GBAC STAR Facility Program on cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention has been made to UK cleaning contractor Exclusive Services Group. The performance-based accreditation is designed to help facilities establish a comprehensive system of cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention for their staff and their building.
The program relies on GBAC's comprehensive training, which teaches protocols, correct disinfection techniques, and cleaning best practices for biohazard situations such as coronavirus.
"Building service contractors are on the frontlines of cleaning, disinfecting, and infection prevention of facilities during the pandemic, and many are looking for ways to promote their expertise," says GBAC Executive Director Patricia Olinger.
"Expanding GBAC STAR accreditation to these service providers enables them to expand their knowledge of cleaning, disinfection, and infection prevention, and to demonstrate to customers and prospects that they can manage risks today and in the future."
Exclusive Services Group’s Swindon-based British Institute of Cleaning Science training centre manager, Colin Brooker, says: "This important accreditation is robust and well-proven in assisting facilities with work practices, protocols, procedures, and systems to control risks associated with infectious agents, such as SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for Covid-19.
"It measures not only our commitment to building occupant health & safety but our capability to match that in practical terms as clients re-engage with their workspaces, post-pandemic."
