Evonik wins Henkel Sustainability Award for second year in a row
Evonik has reinforced its position as a sustainable specialities partner for the personal care and cleaning industry by winning the 2020 Henkel Sustainable Award for the second straight year.
Evonik's Rheance One platform of green biosurfactants was recognised in the Beauty Care category for sustainability at the 14th Annual Henkel Awards, announced at a gala virtual event during the recent American Cleaning Industry Annual Meeting.
Last year, Evonik also won the Henkel Sustainability Award for a novel conditioner with excellent biodegradability that is sourced from natural, renewable materials.
The improvement of human life is at the center of Evonik's Nutrition & Care division. As the home of the company's biotechnology portfolio, the development of advanced biomaterials that utilise more sustainable manufacturing and sourcing processes is a core driver of innovation and growth. The Care Solutions business line of Evonik continues to demonstrate these sustainability principles with the development of differentiated products such as Rheance One.
Henkel also awarded Evonik second place for Best Supply Performance and Best Innovation Contributor.
