New escalator handrail cleaning system launches globally
EscaTeq, the Dutch manufacturer of escalator cleaning systems and tools, has announced the global launch of Rail-Teq - a hand held escalator handrail cleaning system that is an easy to use and affordable.
Escalator handrails are exposed to thousands of hands daily, resulting in a significant build-up of dirt and pathogens. Cleaning escalator handrails has never been more critical as the world fights the spread of Covid-19. EscaTeq says that this is why it developed the Rail-Teq System.
The thorough cleaning of escalator handrails is a critical part of any disinfection procedure, whether the disinfection is achieved chemically or with UV irradiation. Removing the dirt buildup from the handrails' surface is an essential requirement of any disinfection procedure, as defined by many important international governmental bodies.
The Rail-Teq System cleans any brand or model of escalator or travellator handrail quickly, easily and effectively. It employs reusable, washable microfibre cleaning pads that have a sponge liner to hold enough Rubber-Teq: a 'quat' based cleaning solution specifically formulated for safe and rapid dirt removal. In combination, the system makes quick work of handrail cleaning, allowing for the entire handrails' critical surface touchpoints to be cleaned in as little as 5-10 minutes thanks to its two-handed design, resulting in faster cleaning with less fatigue.
