Tidy Green Clean Aberdeen North celebrates outstanding first year, despite Covid challenges
Igors Krumins, Tidy Green Clean's regional director for Aberdeen North, has faced up to the challenges of the pandemic through a clear strategy of caring for his people and focusing on his clients and had a very successful first year.
He joined TGC as a franchisee in January 2020 and has won over 30 contracts from a standing start.
Since January 2020, Tidy Green Clean Aberdeen North has been successful recruiting over 30 customers with 36 different sites, and a loyal and dedicated team of 25 cleaning and administrative staff.
Igors provides a full range of commercial cleaning services to businesses across his region. This includes fogging, deep cleaning and sanitising to provide a healthy and hygienic environment for companies to return to work in Covid-19 safe working conditions, as well as signage and PPE for those businesses that want additional support to make their employees feel more safe and secure.
"It's been a challenging but rewarding year for my team and I am so proud of them all," he says. "I am so proud of the team I have assembled; 2020 was not easy for anyone yet we have been able to show our customers that we're here to make their lives easier - and they have put their faith in us and trusted us to do precisely that - and more.
"I am committed to looking after my team and they are committed to looking after our customers. We are already 24 months ahead of my original revenue target and that is because TGC invests in its people, its equipment, and its customer service.
"The pandemic has already made most businesses re-evaluate how they prioritise cleaning and with our commitment to the environment, high standards and people, through our ISO and Living Wage accreditations, people are drawn to our values and our uncompromising service offering. It's a win/win for everyone, in the most challenging of times."
Igors had known Andrew Alleway and David Moncur, Tidy Green Clean's founders, for a number of years, and came into the business a year ago because of the substantial support available and because the franchise model was by far the best he had seen. With a background in the oil & gas industry, as well as working in his family's vending business, Igors was in a strong position to become a franchisee and regional director of Tidy Green Clean.
David Moncur, TGC's operations director says:
"The commercial opportunities for our regional directors are strong. Igors has found customers keen to work with a commercial cleaning business that works hard, values its people as much as its customers, and delivers exceptional service, because of our clear company values.
"It's been a challenging year operationally for all our regional directors and we have been proud to offer every support and additional resource wherever possible to see the levels of success Igors and his colleagues have enjoyed."
Tidy Green Clean is an environmentally-focused national franchise cleaning operation for blue chip organisations and provides local franchisees and regional directors with the knowledge, training and support to be successful business owners. It achieved IS0 9001; 14001; and 45001 in under three years and a place in the top UK franchises, the EF100 for 2020 and 2021. Rooted in green practices and technologies, the business is focused on understanding its customers and employees, and how to be successful without that being at the expense of other people or the planet; the organisation is also a member of the Approved Franchise Association.
