Demand for Purehold's hygienic door handles booms due to Covid-19

* Purehold-horiz-handle.jpgSince the worldwide Covid-19 outbreak, demand for Purehold's range of 'clip on' antimicrobial door handle solutions for 'push' doors, 'pull' doors and 'lever' doors has boomed, due to the simplicity of installation and silver ion technology which has been proven to kill bacteria and viruses.

Chief medical officer for the UK Government, Professor Chris Whitty, recently confirmed that people can catch Covid-19 by touching a contaminated surface and then touching their face.

He also stated that Coronavirus may stay contagious on hard metal or plastic surfaces such as door handles for up to 72 hours, with other scientific research showing it can survive on door handles for up to nine days.

This scientific guidance is helping to educate health & safety officers and facilities managers across the globe, of the importance of implementing additional measures to help reduce cross-contamination from door handles and push plates.

* Purehold-vert-handle.jpgA study by microbiologist Charles Gerba from the University of Arizona, found that a virus on a single door handle can help spread a virus throughout a building in just a few hours.:

"We found out that, within four hours, over half the commonly touched surfaces had the virus on them, and half the people in the office building had the virus on their hands," he said. "What we really learned is that the hand is quicker than a sneeze in the spread of disease."

Given this wealth of research indicating that door handles are a common source of cross-contamination, it is more important than ever to minimise the risk.

* Purehold-door.jpg* Purehold-panel.jpgFortunately, Purehold's range of hygienic door handle solutions can help reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses and should be encouraged in all public buildings (i.e. hospitals, schools, GP surgeries, food factories, care homes, cruise ships, offices etc.) to help make them Covid-secure and reduce the risk for all users. They work 24/7 and their simple 'clip on' design means that they can be fitted in less than 30 seconds.

Distributors worldwide have seen a great opportunity to promote the Purehold range to their customers because Purehold products offer a very effective way of helping reduce the risk of Covid-19 and other infections spreading from user to user from door handle touch points. They are also a highly visible hygiene solution that helps reassure staff and the public that everything possible is being implemented to make the site as Covid-secure as possible and keep them safe.

With an excellent margin of over 50% and repeat sales every six months, these products are an excellent choice for distributors wanting to sell hygienic door handles offering long term revenues rather than short term sales, so if your customers are looking to implement additional Covid-secure measures at their sites to reassure both their staff and the public, then Purehold's range of hygienic antimicrobial door handles provide a perfect solution.
