Demon’s Tornado Electron mini-bowser offers power and economy

* Demon-mini-bowser.jpgThe cleaning market has changed dramatically over the last 10 years as end users require greater pressures and cleaning performance. With the cost of fossil fuels escalating out of control, the demands have moved towards economical power systems that still provide the cleaning performance.

Demon has looked at these problems and towards the future and has now developed a revolutionary concept in the Demon Electron Mini-Bowser.

“As we currently see, the environment is never out of the news and is a great concern to industry,” says the company. “Demon has considered these issues in developing sustainable cleaning equipment for now and the future.”

This self-contained unit is powered by 105Amp hour lithium-ion batteries coupled to a DC motor which will provide up to 90 minutes of continuous cleaning before recharging is required. The machine has been developed around Domon’s Tornado mini-bowser - widely accepted as the machine of choice across the hire industry. The Demon Electron is fitted with a 24V smart charger which gives a full charge in under eight hours, but this can be reduced with a larger charger as an option.

Demon has tested the Electron and is now confident that the market will be keen to obtain a pressure washer with little noise and no emissions, which can be used at any time of the day or night to clean effectively. Early interest has been shown by some of the market leaders in the hire industry who have seen the potential for this machine within the facilities market and for any cleaning job where noise and pollution are an issue.

The Demon Electron produces 1200psi at 11litres/minute which is suitable for most cleaning problems.

“The Electron has not been designed to bridge a gap as to date no other manufacturer has had the foresight to move into an environmentally sustainable machine,” says the company. “The figures speak for themselves in that DC machines are 95% efficient whereas fossil fuel engines are only 20% efficient. The Electron can be charged for as little as 20p if using green energy. “Just consider how much it would cost in fuel for an alternative!”
