American Cleaning Institute announces promotions for three team members
The American Cleaning Institute has announced promotions for three of its team members, including two leaders in its scientific and regulatory department.
Dr James Kim, previously associate vice president, Science & Regulatory Affairs, is now the vice president, Science & Regulatory Affairs. Late last year ACI announced that Dr Kim would lead the department following the departure of Richard Sedlak, who retired as executive vice president, Technical & International Affairs after 42 years at ACI.
Dr Kim joined ACI in July 2018 after several years as the senior toxicologist at the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget. His areas of responsibility include research, regulatory affairs and outreach related to the toxicology, human safety and efficacy of topical antiseptics.
Kathleen Stanton, a 17-year veteran of ACI, was named associate vice president, Technical & International Affairs. Kathleen previously was ACI's senior director, Technical & Regulatory Affairs. She will now lead the Association's international regulatory and outreach efforts and continues to undertake research and analysis to support ACI's scientific and regulatory programs.
Edgar Chavez, a 10-year ACI employee, was promoted to controller, supporting ACI's finance and accounting functions. He previously was senior accounting manager.
