Cintas Ontario location earns California VPP Certification for safety
Cintas Corporation, which provides a wide range of cleaning, hygiene and safety products and related courses, has announced that its Ontario, California rental facility services location has received California Voluntary Protection Program Certification (VPP) certification from the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
VPP Star is OSHA's highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety & health, earned by businesses that meet rigorous safety requirements. Cintas is the number one participant in the nation for companies with VPP sites, with approximately 250 facilities throughout the world actively pursuing VPP recognition by OSHA or the equivalent under a similar certifying body.
"This achievement is the result of a work culture based on a commitment to teamwork, strong leadership support, personal ownership of our facilities and ongoing continuous improvement," says Jim Reeder, general manager at Cintas Ontario. "We will maintain this standard of safety and this award will serve as a reminder of the importance of sending everyone home injury and accident free every workday."
Cintas has been involved with the VPP program since 2010, and currently, over 100 Cintas locations have been achieved VPP Star status. Cintas also participates in similar programs in Canada, Mexico and Honduras.
Cintas employee-partners were joined by several special guests during a special ceremony on Monday, including Iraj Pourmehraban, director of Cal/OSHA VPP.
