Polaris Introduces new range of EuCertPlast refuse sacks

* Polaris-EUCertPlast.jpgThe pressure on the world to reduce the amount of plastic we use; specifically single-use plastic, continues. For nearly 30 years Polaris has supplied refuse sacks manufactured from recycled plastic.

The source of the refuse sacks and the material that is used in the manufacture of these sacks has now taken a step forward with the introduction of a range of sacks that will carry the EuCertPlast certification.

The EuCertPlast accreditation scheme audits the processors of the recycled material to provide full traceability back to source of the polythene being recycled. The Polaris accredited production partners ensure all operating and environmental permits are in place as well as procedures for quality management, records for staff training, recycled content output and stock management.

The vertically integrated recycling and finished goods production ensure that the finished product supplied by Polaris gives the assurance that the recycled content in the product is compliant with the scheme.

The EuCertPlast scheme will ensure production is performed with:

- Traceability
- Transparency
- Best Practice

The Polaris packaging now features the EuCertPlast logo, demonstrating the manufacturer's commitment to providing products that are environmentally responsible. The range will extend over time as Polaris work with the production facilities to ensure the compliance of the product to the scheme.

Along with the new EuCertPlast certified products, the company continues to supply products that are CHSA accredited, giving customers the assurance that 'what's on the box is in the box' every time.

In summary the benefits of the EuCertPlast range from Polaris:

- Recycled material traceable back to source
- Quality Management process in recycling and finished goods production
- Strict stock control of raw materials
- CHSA accreditation for performance guarantee

The company's black and clear refuse sacks that comply with the accreditation are on the shelf now and can be found on the Polaris website at:
