Star Platforms provides two Skyjack SJ46AJ articulated boom lifts to Tyringham Hall

* Star-stately.jpgUK powered access rental company, Star Platforms, provided two Skyjack SJ46AJ articulated boom lifts to help with building maintenance and refurbishment to the Georgian mansion, Tyringham Hall.

Built in 1797, Tyringham Hall is a beautiful example of a Grade I listed English stately home located in 60 acres of idyllic Buckinghamshire countryside.

It is home to four magnificently proportioned reception rooms, a kitchen, breakfast room and study on the ground floor, with a spa, games room, cinema and gym areas on the Lower Ground. There are 10 principal bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

The Skyjack SJ46 Articulated Jib (AJ) boom lifts provided the up and over capability required for the workers to reach the outside fascias and windows on each floor as well as navigate the landscaping and period walls along the bottom of the property. With a working height of 21.21m and outreach of 8.38m, the maintenance team could reach up to the third-floor to complete refurbishment and maintenance tasks. An added benefit is the suitability for use on rough terrain, which was required to be fully drivable on the gravel around the building.

The owner of Tyringham Hall, commented: "We have worked with Star Platforms for a number of years and are always impressed with the machines it provides. Our maintenance team receives a familiarisation when the cherry pickers are dropped off and can complete its work quickly without risking damage to the building, which is essential with a Grade I listed property. The Skyjack 46AJs were perfect for the job."

Steve Simmons, managing director, Star Platforms continues: "We were only too happy to help the on this project and provide machines to such a stunning property. The Skyjack SJ46AJ was ideal for this task, providing them the height and outreach the job required but also being a diesel machine, was able to navigate around the grounds including over the gravel pathway without any issues,"

Launched in October 2014, Star Platforms is an independent UK-based rental company owned and operated by a team with many years of experience in the powered access industry. With its head office located near Luton (Bedfordshire), Star Platforms is an active member of the Access Alliance and operates across the UK, utilising its four other depots in Coalville (Leicestershire), Sevenoaks (Kent), Reading (Berkshire), and Thetford (Suffolk).
