Dog mess enforcement action stepped up in London

* Dog-mess-enforcement.jpgAs part of the Cleaner Havering campaign, the authorities stepped up enforcement action around the disposal of dog mess and reiterated strongly that residents are required to pick up after their pets.

Along with fellow Cabinet members, Cllr Damian White, Leader, Havering Council, joined the Council's enforcement team as stencils were sprayed around the borough to raise awareness of the laws. An information video has also been produced.

The stencils are being be put in areas where there have been complaints about dog mess, but also elsewhere, to act as a deterrent. They will remind people that if they don't clean up after their dogs, they could face a fine of up to £1,000.
