Greyland sponsors 9 Peaks Challenge in aid of 4 charities
At over 4,000 feet each, the combined heights of the nine peaks is actually higher than Everest, the world's highest mountain!
However you add it up, it's still 10 out of 10 for climbers Martin Wardroper, Chris Wright and their main sponsors, which includes cleaning chemicals manufacturer Greyland. Greyland's MD Richard Dyson (right) is here seen wishing Greenham Trading's Head of Corporate Accounts Martin Wardroper (left) well on his hectic trek in the Scottish Mountains.
The aim is to conquer the nine highest peaks in the UK, which are all located in Scotland. Even in Summer, those mountains can be dangerous, with weather that can change from fine to atrocious in moments.
Their Departure Day will be June 5th, less than a week away, and they will spend the 75th anniversary of D-Day up in the mountains.
The gruelling trek is in aid of mental health care charity Mind, the Marie Curie organisation which provides help during terminal illness, the military charity Help for Heroes, and The Message Trust, a Christian charity for young people in schools, prisons and communities.
For you to help, you don't have to be a main sponsor or even volunteer to climb yourself. Just go to https://project944walk.wordpress.com/ and make a donation, however small. You'll be taking a big step, not for yourself, but for many who need your help.
Thank You.
