Principle nominates children's hospice as chosen charity
Principle Cleaning Services, the London-based cleaning specialist, which provides its services
to some of the most famous landmark buildings in the Capital, has chosen Richard House Children's Hospice as its nominated charity for 2019.
The company is aiming to raise £30,000, through various fundraising events, in recognition of its 30th anniversary this year.
Richard House, which is based in East London, provides palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The charity opened in 2000 and now supports more than 300 families from all over London delivering specialist care for babies, children and young adults, whilst supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more. The charity also offers a range of activities for all the family to enjoy.
Richard House's services are completely free of charge and as a local charity, over 70% of its funding is via local people, companies and groups.
Chris Baker, chief executive at Richard House Children's Hospice, says: "We are delighted that Principle Cleaning Services has chosen to support us in its 30th Anniversary year. Only £1 in every £4 we spend is government funded and therefore the funds, which Principle Cleaning Services is raising, are vital to ensuring that we can continue to provide our services.
"We are thrilled to have been selected as Principle's charity partner and look forward to working closely with the whole team to reach the fantastic fundraising goal that has been set."
Douglas Cooke, executive chairman of Principle Cleaning Services, says: "I personally visited the hospice and was extremely impressed by the atmosphere, the facilities and the dedication of the staff. The values and goals of Richard House align with Principle's family-orientated culture and we are looking forward to hosting a number of fundraising events both in-house and at our clients' sites."
