Chemicals specialist wins Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade
Chemicals specialist 2M Holdings - recently crowned Export Champion 2019 by the Department for International Trade - has now been given the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade, in recognition of significant export growth.
Headquartered in the UK, the company has international presence in Benelux, Brazil, China, Germany, Ireland, Poland and Scandinavia, and exports to over 90 countries.
The company manufactures a range of surfactants for household & industrial hygiene cleaning, aerospace and aviation (Ed: I was surprised to learn that there's a dedicated product which cleans airplane blades & landing gear!), coating, emission reduction, flavours & fragrances, oil & gas (oil refineries), pharmaceuticals, precision cleaning and personal care,
"2M Holdings winning the Queen's Award for International Trade sends a very strong and positive message to the UK Chemical Industry in the North of England and we are very proud of our dedicated team and our partnership with DIT," says Dr Maggie Kessler, export director and 2M co-owner.
Mottie Kessler, MBE, chairman and CEO, adds:
"The Chemical Industry is essential in connecting the building blocks of everyday life. Britain is an island with a rich history of trading across the world. We hope to continue our international business, more and further, to deliver the essential building blocks of everyday life for hundreds of business worldwide.
"2M would like to thank its excellent teams across the group, as well as its customers and suppliers for successful partnership."
