Bunzl Canada positioned for business growth in Quebec
Bunzl Canada has announced its continued program of business investment in its operations in Quebec. The company has acquired multiple businesses in the province since 2015 with the aim of growing its business in both the wholesale and direct distribution markets.
"Quebec is a very strategic market for Bunzl," acknowledges Bunzl Canada president, John Howlett. "We have built a truly national distribution and wholesale platform to serve our customers from coast to coast. Our presence in Quebec is critical to enabling us to provide the consistent, responsive service their businesses rely on, right across the country."
Bunzl Canada provides a wide range of cleaning and hygiene products and equipment, food and retail packaging, safety products and industrial supplies to businesses across Canada. It is known for its culture of innovation and has introduced a number of exclusive, first-to-market technologies in Quebec. The company continually invests in new equipment, training and technology to improve employee and workplace safety and has run a number of recent recruitment campaigns directed at staffing its locations throughout the province.
Bunzl Canada's Quebec operations are in multiple centres, including Montreal, Quebec City, Boucherville, Lachine and Saint-Hyacinthe.
"Saint-Hyacinthe is the site of Emballages Maska, part of our wholesale business network in Quebec," explains John. "Unfortunately, the new owner of the building we occupy intends to move into it when our lease expires in 2020, so we are currently looking for new premises which will allow us to service our existing customers while continuing to grow and expand."
